How to Win at Mini Baccarat
Many people do not have a full understanding of baccarat. The perception is often that this game is reserved for high rollers and gambling buffs, but the reality is that baccarat has a lot to offer everyone. While this game has a reputation for being stodgy and formal, that is a misperception.
One way to get to know the game of baccarat is through mini baccarat. This is a game that can be learned easily and quickly. To start, the game begins with two hands that are face up. The job of the player is to bet on the hands that will total the closest to nine. You have the choice to bet on your hand, the banker’s hand, or a tie between them. Aces count as one, cards two through nine are face value, and cards ten through king are counted as zero.
Betting on the banker provides you a slightly higher chance of winning. Betting on a tie has the lowest success rate. The house has a 15 percent edge on the tie. Sometimes there are commissions to bet on the banker, but it is still a better payout to bet on the banker.
When seeking out a baccarat table, look for tables that have low commissions. The norm is a five percent commission, but if you can find a commission that is lower, that is going to be better for you and your bankroll.
Choose a table that has the fewest number of decks. Usually, casinos will use six to eight decks of cards for a game of baccarat. Go for a table with six decks and if you can find one with fewer, go for that table. It makes it easier for you to keep track of what cards might still be in the deck to make a better decision on which hand to bet on.
